In a dream that I had last night;

You turned around and ran to me.

I woke up and I’m alone,

As I have been for months.

I look out my window;

But you aren’t there.

I squint even in the moonlight,

and your silhouette never appears…

I can only dream, can’t I?

You’re still tattered on my sleeve;

My heart has room for no one else…
